Air Filter Exchange is the result of my 15 years working in the furnace and air conditioning industry.  Working with mentors and listening to customers taught me a great deal about what problems our customers faced., the misconceptions and their lack of knowledge about furnace maintenance.  It did not take me long to see that if people could do simple things themselves, they could save money by not having to pay for service calls . 

My first job in the industry was at The Heating Specialist.  It was to call prospective customers.  With the help of many mentors, I matriculated from just doing sales into doing the technical work such as:

• Proper system design and installation
  
• Service requirements for the many different types of heating and cooling systems
  
• Indoor Air Quality issues

Behind the nuts'n'bolts of designing our customers' furnaces and air conditioning units, I learned that customer satisfaction is the key to keeping my customers comfortable. Warm but not hot, cool but not cold.

When, in 2001, I decided to start my business, Air Filter Exchange, the goal was to take my experience and knowledge of the problems home and business owners face and provide them a place where they can find the right filters needed so that they can keep their furnace and air conditioners running smoothly.  Yes, some filters might be found locally, but due to the many variations one has to choose from, they are not easy to find – not all in one place or not available at the corner store.

People read and hear about indoor air quality, but it may be a "mystery" to all but those active in the industry.  Keeping up with the issues and demystifying the mystery about air-conditioning and heating filters is what this site is all about.
